To the pictures from Z1M3 - 2011 in Gasthaus Bingert, Saarbruecken

Kolzo & Statt-Zeit gladly present: Z1M3 - the bodyless greek artist. The original exhibition takes place and time
from August 06, 2010 in Gasthaus Bingert, Saarbruecken, 20h. (No vernissage, just the opening of it with the gallerists attending. It looked useless to them to build a facade of cozy wellness and sparkling little words along this theme.) Article by Bernd Rausch und Marcel Mack.

In the just raging European crisis - the harshest since May 1945 - the
line is drawn from political issues over to arts. Again, it seems, it is a good deal of
german pushing to fulfill hegemonial pursuits within the European Union and as well beyond
its borders, what built the basement of the recent development. (Not tanks but the ways
money will flow.) Let's say it's a kind of attack and the effects to the greeks are
forwarded by media allover Europe. Z1M3 is penetrating all the different layers of sentiment and perception, and this is the way ending in her images. These effects of the crisis do not create the same visions in every place in Europe. Her art is a vague and volatile incarnation of
the inner, hot state of the crisis. Z1M3 as a being refuses, shirks, leaves behind her
paintings to say what has to be said.

She handles the crisis with facility and does it playfully, her pictures
are nearly volatile, the nature of the crisis did this, for there is a number of strong currents
and drifts that are not easy to recognize if you are not the one who gets sucked out on the wide
open sea by them. She picutres thing that were thought as yesterdayish and long overcome, some old recipes for national tam-tam getting popular again, reactionary ways to handle the threats and in the end, maybe, nothing, makes it a compplete meal. The receptions of this attack, led by german government, within the EU called some reactions. It turned out that these different reactions in this unique und uniformed Europe we got now - and not only the "decisive, deciding centres of middle Europe" but everywhere - this procedure pointed towards the beings not that rich, living where ground is said to be greek, let's all the ones, who are only spectators this time, gasp sharp for breath.

No doubt, the pictures coming out of this situation have to be religious
or political. And them showing just things, not people, would be a proff of rigid despair.
There had to be folks crowding them, for it's man who did it and it's man who suffers
it. The beings in Z1M3's paintings are the substitutes for even more beings and their
attitudes and opinions. These beings are symbolic figures to illustrate the danger of an
imminent relapse into a scenery of narrow-minded nationalisms with a whole lot of very own items that divide: frontiers, currencies, armies... and mind the loss of regional, local,
individuell identity as the other side of the Euro coin.

These themes are easy to find in the United States of Europe. The topic
where greece is leading now, is having made close acquaintance with this menace, that's
named here: "system threating Euro crisis" - it's a possibility. And it's a start
surely not the end of this development, not a closed chapter, whatever soothing balm
politicians might try to slather in the wallets of the EU-citizens. The frontier is
ahead.. and nevertheless hard to find.

The exhibition "When the greek woman jumps the sea, the waves wet half
of EU". (A try to translate the given and official german title, it's: "Wenn die Griechin
baden geht, geht halb Europa mit") Your printed copy his exhibition, you can get it and
it's more cheap than expensive, so can't be compared to the EU itself. The gallerists of
Z1M3 say they want that this exhibition is shown at many places all over Europe and hope it
reflects and stirs debates and discussions themed around the crisis coming. The start
of it is the first exhibition from August 06, 2010, 8h p.m., in the Gasthaus Bingert,
Saarbruecken, on.
