find the memorial for the victims of the National Socialism by Hans Wimmer
on the left behind the Paulskirche. The statue created by the sculpturer
Hans Wimmer is based on a socket which carries the names of the National
Socialist concentration camps. The memorial, man in bondage, was inaugurated
on 24th of october.1964. On the socket, 53 concentration- and extermination-
camps are named, which were established in the occupied countries of Europe
from 1933 to 1945. The memorial stands for 11 million victims; humans,
which were shot, hanged, slayed, suffocated, drowned, poisoned, killed
by gas, left to
starvation or murdered. by other methods.
