16.06.1996 dedicated to the memory of third Jewish
municipality of 1933-1945 destroyed by National Socialists.
Old Jewish Cemetery Frankfurt/Main Battonnstraße 2 - this oldest jewish cemetery exists since the 13th century. 6500 gravestones stood here up to the destruction in the year 1943. Along the interior wall historical or artificial stones of value were raised again.

 



The frieze is placed at the outside wall (Old Jewish Cemetery) and consists of 11,134 small cast-iron blocks, gravestones for the jews of Frankfurt, murdered in the concentration camps.
